Brightpod is hosted in a world-class secure server environment (hosted and professionally managed by Rackspace, a recognized leader in high-end hosting.) We backup data daily to Rackspace Cloud Files so you can be assured that nothing will be lost.
Data Center
Brightpod’s data is stored on Rackspace data centres that have achieved SSAE 16 Type II SOC 1, SAS70 Type II, Safe Harbor, PCI Security Standards Council Member certification. Learn more about the Rackspace data centre.
SSL
Brightpod is 2048-bit SSL encryption-enabled. What this means is that the data that you send between your computer and the Brightpod server is encrypted. It’s like sending a coded message. If you bank online or use e-commerce sites then you have already used SSL. SSL will make it very difficult for unauthorized people to view information traveling between your computer and the Brightpod server.
Managed Cloud
On the application level, Brightpod provides each user with a unique username and password that is immediately encrypted when you sign up. The login page is protected with SSL encryption. Additionally, all access within Brightpod is permission based – Users can only access stuff that they have been given permission to access.
Application
Our Rackspace Managed Cloud account (we pay additional fees for a very high level of support) gives us access to Rackspace experts who help us plan, deploy, scale, troubleshoot and monitor all our services 24x7x365.
